Hello,
My name is paradyse oakley (she/they) a third-year studying Community Studies (Health Justice), Critical Race and Ethnic Studies and Politics at UCSC. I’m excited to share this series with you all - I hope you all come and enjoy the space that will be co created with your lovely presence and knowledge. I’ve very excited to share space with you all and to center our Mental Health especially as Black Student at this Predominantly white institution - dismantle these systems of oppression through abolition, care, rest, joy and love. South Central Los Angeles / Tongva Land is home to me. I enjoy being out in nature, cooking vegan meals and drinks for loved ones, and reading a good book.
Special Thanks to
To my ancestors, my community, my village and loved ones and especially for the African American Resource and Cultural Center, Black Lives Matter Garden, Cowell Coffee Shop, UCSC CASFS.
Thank you to DJ for bringing my vision to life with this online platform for us to utilize for the events, resources, and much more.
